seattle revisited.
we drove down to seattle yesterday, with my father driving with a left-hand drive car in a left-hand drive traffic system after over 3 decades (at least) of right-hand driving.
needless to say, we got into a number of close accidents, even with my dad's very slow driving. coz he tends to turn left... into oncoming traffic. so even in seattle where everyone is nice and friendly and courteous, we got the horn and we got angry pedastrians knocking on our window.
but tt aside, seattle is nice and relaxing. my mom's anticipatory shopping trip at the premium outlets yesterday was disappointed, but the feast at the crab pot was pretty good.
and today we went to pike place market in the morning, where my dad bought some homemade cheese, and later we went to ivars by the waterfront for fish and chips, pan seared alaskan halibut, clam chowder and manila clams in pesto white wine sauce.
took my parents to pioneer square for a 20 min walkabout historical seattle, and then it was downtown to the shopping district so tt my mom and dad could shop at macy's. we had dessert at the chesecake factory - the godiva cheesecake was heavenly, but also heavy.
and now after all tt shopping it's back here, before we go out again for dinner.
now playing: hotel costes - cafe de flor
