mid-thurs...

$5 is all it costs to watch The Constantines, in concert, at the pit pub on campus. nevermind tt i've only got 6 songs from them on my itunes so far... where else do you get to pay so little to watch a good (indie) band?

now. if *only* Deathcab would just COME BACK DAMMIT....

sigh.

on another note, ice-skating today resulted in an ugly long abrasion from the lousy ice-skating shoes. i still can't skate; i just wobble around the rink. met this swedish law exchange student who was in my advanced crim law class last year (and for those who are wondering, yes yes and yes he is tall, blonde, blue-eyed and VERY good-looking. but he's also Taken. wahaha) at the rink and he was giving me pointers on how to ice-skate. he'd come up to me as i was madly flinging my arms around in an attempt not to fall face-first onto the ice and i'd told him tt i didn't ice-skate before... could he tell?

and he was like, "yes. i can imagine what my first time was like once." ONCE. and apparently he's BORED coz he's been skating since was a KID and he plays ICE HOCKEY in sweden and as such, just going round the rink is BORING to him. and mind you, he does all the stunts; the running, the twirling, the reverse figure 8s and what not... and he's BORED.

yeah, i feel like a loser. GOD. doesn't help tt the abrasions on my leg are so bad tt it's kinda wet and slightly pus-sy (i.e. oozing pus. with the hyphen) and it hurts like FUCK when i bathe.

but tt said, ice-skating was fun.

this is a photo of us ice-skating at the ubc winter sports rink. alvin, kelvin, joann and boon ping. :) i'm trying to balance here, actually.

now i really need to get with my homicide readings. i am not starting off well for this course at all. KNN why is EVERYONE so competitive here? people are posting up discussion answers even BEFORE i start reading the module. talk about scary.

argh dammit. get off scrubs. GET OFF SCRUBS. and for tt matter, get off the L word too. i watched a couple of episodes just to see what the fuss was about. ok even though i'm straight and i don't really buy the whole messed-up lives/we fuck each other in a merry-go-round type storylines, plus the series paints lesbians as REALLY horny creatures... but dammit tt shane mccutcheon character is SO HOT tt i find myself lusting after her too... GRR. fraser was surprised to find episodes of the L word on my laptop. i told him what i usually tell everyone who asks if i'm straight - tt i'm 20% lesbian. ok, i tried to watch queer as folk, but the opening scene of the particular episode tt i watched involved a very graphic scene of 1 guy passionately screwing another in the ass bent over the kitchen counter (complete with the pushing off cutlery and fruit bowls off said counter), and tt scene traumatised me too much for me to continue with tt episode. or tt series for tt matter. so yeah. 1 out of 3 immediately down... now just 2 more to go.

WAIT. and WHY am i playing gunther's "oh. you touch my tra-la-la" song on my laptop??? "deep in the night. i am looking for some fun..." it's so bad it's good. right. for some reason, i'm thinking of him. apparently his friends dragged him to bangkok for 4 nights... a group of guys at bangkok. it's DEF not for the food or shopping. i bet they're gonna spend all 4 nights in pat pong.

oh.... and speaking of whuch, it seems tt when i did the one-liner post 2 entries ago... my readership for tt day DOUBLED. lalalalala... HMM. i wonder why. what were you expecting to find, eh? ;)
