"we are going to the zoo, zoo, zoo... how about you, you, you?"
today ben and i went to the zoo. *cough cough* due to the "mushy pics" complaints for this blog, zoo photos will be categorised such tt you can choose not to see the "mushy pics" for this post. yay.
anyway yar. i have to admit lah. i think my life quite boring. i only seem to have 1 other person in all my photos (this is a hint to a) get the photos tt you guys have with me so tt i can post them up and prove to the world tt i also have friends *heh heh heh*; and b) for people to ask me out more), so sorry about tt. but i shall endeavor to keep the photos at least marginally interesting.
okay, i am so digressing. anyway today ben and i went to the zoo. we met up at bukit timah market to take the bus to the zoo at mandai road, but coz you probably won't be very interested in how we did our walkabout, i'll just categorise the entry in terms of photos.
in this order:
a) animal photos (self-explanatory)
b) animal butt photos (this applies to all those stupid animals tt kept turning away from me the moment i turned on my camera)
c) stupid human photos (usually involving myself or exhibit 'a' - the smoker)
d) mushy avoid-at-all-costs photos (also, self-explanatory)
a) the animal photos

this thingy with the funny snout is known as a tapir. because 'tapir' sounds like 'debiao', seeing this animal begs the question: "debiao, where is the tapir?"

this is a white tiger. it is a beautiful creature.

this is a wart hog. it is very cute. i christen it puumba (whatever you are going to say... stfu.).

these are kangeroos. they are marsupials. they are very cute, and very observant. they look at me when i look at them.

banded mongoose. deceptively cute but actually deadly. it is a predator!

one of the many baboon harems. primates display traits closest to those of humans. mothers are protective of their young. males are polygamous. young baboons are playful and old baboons are balding. and females in heat have the ugliest butts i've ever seen.

ruffed up sleeping pelican. is able to maintain this position unwaveringly despite the many people who have tried to get its attention. it is... steadfast.

manatee. known as the 'mermaid of the zoo', it looks like a giant piece of blubber with a single flipper for a tale, has an old and sad-looking face, and spins slowly in the water. is however, also highly adorable in its own strange manatee way.

giant tortoise. some old chinese-singaporeans had been speaking of boiling turtle soup at an earlier exhibit. i wonder if giant tortoise is on tt menu.

wild african dog. carnivore tt feeds on antelope and other poor herbivorous creatures larger than itself. another deceptively cute creature.

cheetah. according to the info board, a single stride may cover up to 6m. i guess we will only find out for certain when this guy decides to stop sleeping.

nyala. a female antelope. also known as african dog and cheetah food.

maned wolf. beautiful brown wolf tt paces.

meerkat. altogether now: "SHO CUTE!!!"

and caribou.
b) the animal butt photos

stupid bird.

stupid manatee.
c) the stupid human photos

me with snake. i think i look scarier than the snake, tho.

exhibit 'a' - the smoker.

exhibit 'a' in its natural habitat.

me with cap. ben says i look cool... for a si geena.

i am not as tall as the giraffe.

i like ben n jerry's ice-cream: the three flavours - chocolate, strawberry cheesecake and phish food. ben did not know until today tt phish food is not made up of real fish.
d) the mushy avoid-at-all-costs photos
