another quiet sunday evening.
fairview seems to have become my second home. i feel like i've settled into this life, sleeping late and waking up later; once again, this time at 3pm. sunday afternoon, and i open my eyes to the bright warm sunshine outside the window.
running seems to have been incorporated into my routine; it's one of the few things i can do while the raccoon hibernates. running without having lunch was a pretty bad idea. my 5pm run today involved running maybe a third of the distance, and walking the other two-thirds, because of the gastric cramps tt always accompany my runs whenever i don't eat proper meals before hand.
but nonetheless the run was otherwise... well, not too bad. the weather was lovely. 15 degrees out and the sun was shining. it was windy, but not so strong tt it felt cold. i love warmth and sunshine on my skin. always have, still do. and along 16th avenue i saw this small red-breasted robin hop across my path; it didn't seem afraid at all. it looked at me with as much curiosity as i felt wonder.
but one of the many effects of running - with music - is tt it makes me miss dancing. a lot. like when i play reggaeton, i think back to mambo nights and mambo whores and phuture. i miss tt and i miss my babes.
i return about 90 min later, take a bath and this time successfully wake up the raccoon for dinner. i always need sustenance after my runs. and food makes me happy. like, seriously. when my tummy is filled and warm, i'm just similarly happy. and now, it's just back here with me now attempting to study for my psychology exam on wednesday.
my raccoon has gone back to sleep again.
now playing: hotel costes - cafe de flor
