feel good running. again.
felt good running.
my first real run since feb i think. since before mexico.
fuck. thought it was going to suck like hell.
but it didn't.
i ran the campus route - the one tt spans 16th avenue - north west marine drive - chancellor boulevard - bianca st - w 10th avenue - wesbrook mall.
90 mins.
i was running damn fucking slow, and at intervals i walked. people overtook me, as always.
but it felt amazing.
once again, to see and to feel and to experience so much space. to feel the coolness all around you and the wind in your face and your hair. to feel your breath as you breathe in and out; no more mist this time.
spring has finally come, and it's no longer overcast or getting dark. sun shining. amazing how many groups of runners and cyclists i passed; all friendly and giving me a friendly smile, nod or wave as we pass each other.
the scenery is the same, but yet different. in winter it was all snow covered and the leaves were bare. in autumn 16th avenue was a myriad of colours, oranges and reds and yellows and browns. today 16th avenue is greens. bright fresh lush greens, and the trees are no longer bare. chancellor boulevard the trees have small red flowers; and white flowers; and blue and pink and purple and yellow dot the bushes by the side.
i wonder if i will ever see tt coyote again. i guess i'm not tt lucky.
but every time i run, i realise what it is tt makes me fall in love with vancouver. it's like rediscovering tt love for this place all over again.
i have to keep running.
before i no longer have the chance to.
if i can keep up the discipline, ahm and stanchart will no longer be impossible dreams.
:)
now playing: hotel costes - cafe de flor
