greetings from montreal
currently typing this from sandra's mac. have been putting up at her very nice apartment on avenue du parc for the past night and tonight, and at amy's the 2 nights before tt. both my hosts have been extremely sweet and gracious to me. but i'd better not use the laptop for too long.
i shall be taking the train to toronto and meeting vanessa tomorrow. i can't wait.
oh. and montreal was *G*R*E*A*T!
i love this place. it's so old-world european charm, from the city streets at st. catherinne and the underground city to china town and old montreal, to the plateau at french posh area st. denis, to the clubbing area at st. laurent, and even the gay village with its proud display of rainbow coloured flags.
the scenery was amazing, the architecture breathtaking, the food absolutely delicious (YES. we really pigged out on stuff ranging from greasy poutine and pizzas to sole menuiere to cheesecakes and choclate fudge cakes), and the company more than i can ask for.
will post up a longer and more detailed entry with pictures when i return from vancouver.
:)
