melissa pei
thank you for tt short but frank msn conversation we had online last night (and yesterday afternoon for you). it was really good to talk to you again and about the things tt have been bothering or confusing me lately. not tt i am not stable, nor tt i don't know what i want, but rather tt it is one thing to know something in theory and another to comply in practice. but then again you know i am one stubborn ass.
and then we also had some heated debate over the death penalty for drug trafficking in singapore, and whether it was too harsh, whether nyugen deserved to get hanged, and whether there were alternatives. but i guess as harsh as it sounds, there are perfectly legal and infallible arguments for the proposition, and although they are hard to swallow, it's not easy to refute. even on humanitarian grounds. but like i said, when you see the kind of harm tt drugs can do to a society, and when you are from the right (wrong?) side of the law to begin with, it's hard to believe it any other way.
oh, and i haven't congratulated you yet on your virgin marathon run! and finishing it! so congrats melissa pei, now deflowered marathon runner! :) and to geok (whose motivation for running 42 km was the T-SHIRT - as usual -), and to meiping, and to superwoman cheeze who apparantly completed the run no sweat in 5 h 44 min (and was still about to walk around and talk to people without keeling over and dying... amazing). and to the half-marathon runners like wendy (yay! 1st 21km run), yirang (yay! 1st 21km run too), cindy(yay! 1st 21km run too too), wenya (yay! 1st 21km run too^3), zhenyi(yay! 2nd 21km run) and raine (yay! 1st 21km run^4). did i miss anyone out?
i wish i were back in singapore for the marathon too. i know i would run for it, even though i would suck and take 10 hours because my fitness sucks and i haven't been training. not here too. it's currently 4 degrees and the snow has melted, but i'm obviously refusing to step out of my comfort zone. it's too fucking cold. but i always wanted to run at least 1 marathon in my lifetime. wendy if you are reading this, when i come back next year let's train for the 2006 marathon together! wahaha. :)
besides all this, it's just been trying to work on my EU law paper and avoiding other distractions. yes, there are distractions. well, there is one big one, but those who know know and those who don't, don't. ok. i have to stop rambling more. back to my paper.
meanwhile:
die lah. i think can be true.

| You Have a Choleric Temperament |
![]() You are a person of great enthusiasm - easily excited by many things. Unsatisfied by the ordinary, you are reaching for an epic, extraordinary life. You want the best. The best life. The best love. The best reputation. You posses a sharp and keen intellect. Your mind is your primary weapon. Strong willed, nothing can keep you down. Your energy can break down any wall. You're an instantly passionate person - and this passion gives you an intoxicating power over others. At your worst, you are a narcissist. Full of yourself and even proud of your faults. Stubborn and opinionated, you know what you think is right. End of discussion. A bit of a misanthrope, you often see others as weak, ignorant, and inferior. |
